Landscape Services
department personnel are responsible for developing and maintaining aesthetically pleasing and safe campus grounds with an emphasis toward achieving a park-like setting for the enjoyment of students, faculty, staff and visitors. In the winter, this department is involved with the growing of next summer's bedding plants in the greenhouse. This department is responsible for the following tasks:

  • Turf maintenance

  • Tree, shrub and flower bed maintenance

  • Landscaping around all buildings, including Students Centers and Residence Halls

  • Athletic field maintenance

  • Litter and solid waste collection and disposal

  • Coordination and operation of campus-wide recycling program

  • Snow removal

  • Sidewalk and roadway maintenance

  • Tennis court and outdoor track surface maintenance

  • Operation of university greenhouse and holding nursery

Throughout the year, and especially during the summer months, the Landscape Services department relies on student labor to supplement the permanent staff.
