The Landscape Architect is responsible for the operational administration of all permanent and seasonal personnel involved in the performance of landscape maintenance functions, including assignment of work tasks and employee performance evaluations, purchasing of equipment and supplies, developing and monitoring equipment maintenance schedules, and coordinating landscape maintenance, new development projects and special events using campus grounds. Landscape development for all university grounds, including athletic facilities, consists of site analysis, user surveys, planning and design, plant selection and construction contract administration and supervision. |

Throughout the year, and especially during the summer months, the Landscape Services department relies on student labor to supplement the permanent staff.
