Daily Assignments from Swokowski and Cole
Fall semester, 2013
Each student is supposed to solve these practice problems in a
spiral notebook that will be collected and graded during the semester.
The notebook is to contain only solutions to these practice problems,
and the problems must appear in the notebook in the same order as in
the textbook. This will facilitate grading.
The solutions should show as much work as a person would need to do
to solve the problems on a test. All answers should be simplified as far
as possible, fractions should be in lowest terms. Solution sets,
domains, ranges, target sets, and so on, should be expressed in interval
notation or, in the finite case, by listing the correct numbers inside
curly brackets, or, in the case of countably infinite solution sets, by
giving one or more formulas in terms of some parameter whose domain is
specified.
