Research shows that people who spend time outdoors, camping and visiting local/state/national parks are more likely to understand the need to protect the environment. 

 

Thus - Camping at Steve Tippins very cool property in Viroqua, a pioneering area of Wisconsin in terms of sustainability. We’ll see his second “car”, learn about his “beyond-vegan” diet, visit the food-coop where he is president of the board, roast marshmallows around a campfire and hear a guest speaker on permaculture.

Resource threats (cyanide gold mining, nuclear weapons testing) to the Western Shoshone. Proposed Gogebic Taconite iron mine next to the Bad River Ojibwe reservation that will be coming up in the legislature this Fall and the company's efforts to rewrite Wisconsin's mining regulations.
