The course is an introduction to the systematic planning of instructional technology. Course objectives include developing functional skills in computer hardware and software, design of multimedia materials, and effective application of technology in teaching and learning. The course focuses on the basic principles of learning through technology integration into instruction with the use of multimedia, Web development, instructional media, distance learning, Internet use and ethical, legal and social issues in technology. Prerequisite: sophomore standing.

The course is designed to develop an understanding of technology application in the academic disciplines.
