Mathematics for Elementary Teachers
Welcome to Mth125, in which we explore the mathematics behind the concepts and procedures commonly encountered in elementary school math curricula.
Catalog Description: A study of the mathematical concepts and techniques that are fundamental to, and form the basis for, elementary school mathematics. Topics include: problem solving, inductive and deductive reasoning, sets, number systems through the real numbers, number theory, measurement, and 2- and 3-dimensional geometry. Prerequisite: MTH 051 or satisfactory placement test score.
