Teaching and Research Interests

My dissertation “Towards a New National Image: The Pictorial and Poetic Surrealism of the the Post Spanish Civil War Years” combines my main interests in Modern Spanish Peninsular Literature and Modern Spanish Painting. I enjoy Interdisciplinary approaches to researching and teaching Spanish language, literature, and culture. I am particularly interested in Avant-garde movements and cultural movements such as “La Movida.” I also investigate innovative ways to incorporate technology into the classroom at various levels of instruction.
