STEP into the Secondary Teacher Education Preparation Program
| Welcome to the Secondary Teacher Education Preparation (STEP) Program at UW-La Crosse. STEP is designed as a collaborative program leading to licensure in Early Adolescence-Adolescence (approximate ages of learners 10 – 21) in which teacher candidates earn a bachelors degree in an appropriate content major combined with professional education coursework and multiple field experiences. STEP is part of the School of Education and is guided by its Conceptual Framework to become a leader in the preparation of globally responsive teachers through a University-wide commitment to teacher education.
We invite you to learn about the STEP Program under the School of Education by selecting from the links to the left.
