Online Course Revisions
Online coursework involves continual updates, changes, improvements, and revisions. These revisions are made based on professional development and growth as well as reflections and feedback. Personally reflecting on my work and using student and peer feedback guides me in making improvements and updates to my teaching instruction.
Examples of revisions:
A question on an exam is confusing to students: I examine the question closely and then establish the validity or reliability of the question as well as review the lecture materials to see if they are detailed enough.
A student states that the “project” document in the introduction of the course is confusing. They stated that it was easier to understand when I explained it over the phone: I created an audio introduction to the course and explained the project verbally. Audio and visual text are both helpful for students of various learning styles.
