Policy on Late Work
|
"Late Work" is defined for purposes of each and every assignment announced on the POL 201 web pages as any written assignment submitted to the Instructor after the date and time announced either on the POL 201 web pages or in any written material distributed in connection with a given assignment, provided that the Instructor has not agreed to an extension of the date and time for a particular student on a particular assignment in order to accommodate that student's particular problems, and provided further that such agreement to extend the date and time for a particular assignment is made before the announced date and time. When Late Work is submitted, it shall be graded by the same standards and procedures as all other submissions for that particular assignment, but shall then be penalized one grade step for each session, or part of a session, that it is late. For example, an exam submitted one session late, and graded a B+ will be penalized to a B; two sessions late, penalized to a B-; three sessions late, penalized to a BC, and so on. |
