POLICY ON LATE WORK

“Late Work” is defined for purposes of each and every assignment announced on the POL 306 Web Page as any written assignment submitted to the Instructor after the date and time announced either on these web pages or in any written material distributed in connection with a given assignment, provided that the Instructor does not agree to an extension of the date and time for a particular student on a particular assignment in order to accommodate that student's particular problems, and provided further that such agreement to extend the date and time for a particular assignment is made before the announced date and time. When Late Work is submitted, it shall be graded be the same standards and procedures as all other submissions for that particular assignment, but shall be penalized one grade-step for each day or part of a day, that it is late. For example, an exam submitted one day late, and graded a B+ will be penalized to a B; two days late, penalized to a B-; three days late, penalized to a BC and so on. |
