Research Interests
I am interested in the theory and practice of corporate social responsibility (CSR). On the one hand, I am now working on the way practices and theories of social responsibility and sustainable development may enrich each other, and the management field of study. On the other hand, I am trying to analyze the “cognitive structure” of individual and organizational social responsibility. I also work on cognitive science contributions to organizational behavior, and decision-making. In particular, I analyze the “distributed cognition” approach and its potentials to explain rationality, and the decision-making process.

Short biographical note
The position I left in Italy was that of lecturer in corporate finance, University of Insubria (Varese), after being appointed with a post-doctoral research grant.
The Ph.D. in Business Administration, University of Pavia, has been a very important part of my personal and professional development. Pavia, the Italian “Oxbridge,” is one of the oldest universities of the world (AD 1361), and I owe to people from this institution the feeling that nothing can be truly and deeply understood without a broader, multidisciplinary framework. I worked as editor of the Newsletter and of the Working Paper Series on the Italian SMEs in Central and Eastern European Countries, sponsored by the European Commission, and published under the European Communities Studies Association (ECSA, now EUSA).
I graduated in Business Administration at the University of Cagliari (B.A.) and earned a Master’s degree in Venture Finance and a Master’s degree in International Finance at the University of Pavia. While in Pavia, I had the opportunity to get the Diploma from the multidisciplinary Advanced School of Integrated Learning (SAFI, University of Pavia) for Ph.D. students.
