Glenwood Culture Research
Analysis of pottery from three Glenwood Culture sites of the
Nebraska variant of the Central Plains tradition was completed in 2010 and
published as Contract Completion Report 1700 of the Office of the State
Archaeologist of Iowa. My
colleague, Stephen C. Lensink,
and I were awarded an Iowa DOT Transportation
Enhancement grant in 2011 that will lead to the analysis and completion of reports
on 15
Glenwood earth lodges that were excavated 40 years ago. My Iowa colleagues
and I along with Professor emeritus James L. Theler
are also completing the final report on the Wall Ridge site, 13ML176.

This
spring I completed the digitization of the Archives of Archaeology
series. The project
was funded by a grant from the
College of Liberal Studies, UW-L and reported in the
SAA Archaeological Record.
