Scholarship and Awards Committee Meeting 2/1/06, 4:30 pm

Present: Greg Balfany, Jeff Boyle, Brad Butterfield, Victoria Calmes (Chair), John Colton (secretary), Abdulaziz Elfessi, Amber Graff (student member), Barb Katrana (UWL Scholarship Coordinator), Bryan Kopp, Mary Leonard (aka Anderson).

Absent: Ezekiel Hellenbrand (student member), Robert Richardson, Kelli Zelinger (student member). (Richardson and Zelinger excused due to class and/or other meeting commitments.)

1.      Minutes from 11/16/05 meeting approved (10/0/0)

2.      Barb Katrana indicated that the Weisse scholarship would not be given this year.

3.      Rankings for the various scholarships approved/decided. Preliminary rankings had been made based on feedback from Balfany, Boyle, Butterfield, Calmes, Colton, Elfessi, Graff, Kopp, Leonard, and Richardson.

4.      Next meeting planned for 2/15/06, 4:30 pm. Thrune interviews will begin at 5 pm; Murphy Award discussion will be after the interviews are over.

5.      Email your Thrune and Murphy rankings to John Colton by Mon, Feb 13, 2006.
