VJ Agarwal convened the meeting at 10:00 am       

 

  1. Elections

M/S/P to elect Tom Krueger Chair

M/S/P to elect Carol Angell Vice Chair

M/S/P to elect Bernadette Taylor Secretary

 

  1. The fair implementation of GRC 799 fees was discussed.  The Graduate Council will revisit this issue during the current academic year to explore whether a policy change is desirable.

 

  1. M/S/P to go into closed session to hear a graduate student appeal for a time extension to complete their Masters in Public Health graduate program.

 

M/S/P to approve the student’s appeal for a time extension through December 2011, with the requirement that the student successfully complete HED 798 and P-H 717 (or HED 595 if P-H 717 is not offered during the Spring of 2011).

 

M/S/P to move out of closed session.
