Entrance Loan Counseling
IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE YOU BEGIN
Before receiving a federal student loan, borrowers MUST complete an Entrance Loan Counseling session. (If you have previously had either a Federal Stafford Loan or a Federal Direct Loan, you have already met this obligation). This online session will take about 20-30 minutes to complete.
Undergraduate students will complete the Federal Direct Loan Entrance Counseling.
Graduate students who complete the
Graduate Entrance Loan Counseling will meet the entrance loan
counseling requirement for both Direct Loans and Direct Graduate
PLUS loans.
You should have your Department of Education
PIN (the one used to sign the FAFSA) handy.
When you get to the page, click on SIGN IN. After you have signed in, go to Entrance Counseling and follow the directions from there.
