Student Aid Eligibility & Loan Repayment
Eligibility
Once your eligibility has been determined, you will receive an
e-mail at your campus e-mail address, informing you that your
financial aid award is available online in WINGS. Follow the
instructions for accepting your award. Failure to do so will
result in your financial aid award being cancelled.
Graduate students typically receive Federal Direct Loans as the form of financial aid. The Direct Loan maximum per year is $20,500. The financial aid year starts with the summer session and ends with the spring session.
When your program cost of attendance exceeds the Direct Loan maximum, there are additional loan options. Graduate students can apply for the Federal Graduate PLUS loan or private alternative student loans. Each type of loan has a section on this website that tells more information and how to apply. The maximum you can borrow in either of these loans is the difference between your cost of attendance and the other aid you are receiving. This loan maximum will be listed on your award letter as “Your Other Loan Eligibility – G”.
Since each program of study has its own tuition costs and periods of enrollment, examples can be found on the individual pages.
