Federal Perkins Loans
The Federal Perkins loan is available to undergraduate and graduate students. Exceptional need must be shown for these limited funds. Students must be enrolled at least half-time. The school acts as the lender and repayment begins nine months after enrollment ceases at a fixed interest rate of 5%. Students have up to ten years to repay. Entrance Loan Counseling is required for first time borrowers.
The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse has changed our loan servicer for Perkins Loans. University Accounting Services (UAS) is no longer UW-La Crosse's Perkins Loan servicer as of June 30, 2012. The new loan servicers is ECSI (www.ecsi.net, phone 1-866-549-3274).
