Eagle Guide Information

 

Eagle Guides are current UW-L students who serve as peer leaders for all new students at UW-L during New Student Orientation (NSO).  Serving as an Eagle Guide offers you a fabulous student leadership opportunity!

2014 Eagle Guide Contract and Informational Forms

Applicants:

  • Apply to be an Eagle Guide (Click here to apply) Applications are due on Friday, February 28, 2014.

  • The application is housed on MyOrgs and the link applied above will take you directly to the online application.  You may need to Log In to use MyOrgs.  To Log In, simply click on the "Log In" icon in the upper right corner and use your UW-L Username and Password (the same you would use for WINGS, D2L, etc.)

    • **Please note the four short answer questions on the application are:

      • Why do you want to be an Eagle Guide?

      • What do you think is the biggest challenge faced by students while adjusting to college? What would you do as an Eagle Guide to address it?

      • What leadership skills do you hope to develop as an Eagle Guide?

      • Please describe your club, community, and/or campus activities involvement.  Mention any formal leadership positions when applicable.


   Timeline:

  • Tuesday, February 4 : Information Session - 12:15pm - Ward Room, Cartwright Center

    • Come and learn about the Eagle Guide position and how you can play an important role in the experiences of our new students.

  • Thursday, February 27: Information Session - 4:00pm - Ward Room, Cartwright Center

    • Come and learn about the Eagle Guide position and how you can play an important role in the experiences of our new students.

  • Friday, February 28: Applications due by 4:00pm

  • March 3 - 12: Interviews - We will contact you near the application deadline to setup your interview time(s).

  • Friday, March 14: Offers for Eagle Guide positions sent out via email (UW-L address)
