Summer Offerings
UW-L offers a variety of programs for incoming new students prior to the beginning of New Student Orientation. The programs range from adventure programs to courses in which participants earn UW-L academic credit.
The programs are offered through a variety of offices at UW-L and are intended to enhance the experiences that all new students will have during New Student Orientation.

New Student Orientation occurs at the start of the fall semester
and is intended for new first-year, new transfer and returning
students. It is our way to welcome students both back, and to,
the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse campus.
New Student Orientation offers a variety of programs, services,
activities, and fun events designed to welcome and introduce
students to all of the engagement opportunities at UW-L . There
are plenty of opportunities to meet other new and returning
students, find out ways to get involved, and prepare for the
academic year.
First-Year Experience Residence Halls
UW-L currently offers three First-Year Experience residence halls: Coate, Laux, and White Halls.
