The General Education Committee

General Education is the common educational experience for all undergraduates at UWL. It is uniquely concerned with the broad education of the whole person, and plays a vital role in preparing students for life beyond the university.

The General Education Committee is a standing committee of the Faculty Senate that oversees the program and  recommends changes in it to the Faculty Senate.  The particular responsibilities of the GEC are described in Faculty Senate Bylaw II. H.  Faculty Senate policies on General Education are described in the Faculty Senate Policies (Revised 2006), located at the end of the Senate Bylaws page (http://www.uwlax.edu/FacultySenate/bylaws.html).
