What is Golden Key International?
Golden Key is the world’s premier collegiate honor society,
recognizing outstanding academic achievement and connecting
high-achieving individuals locally, regionally & globally with lifetime
opportunity, reward & success. Membership is by invitation only.
What are the benefits of joining Golden Key?
There are many benefits to joining the organization. These benefits
include Academic Recognition, opportunities for Scholarships, Career
Assistance, Leadership Opportunities, Community Service Opportunities,
and Networking. Members continue to receive benefits after graduation as
well, including graduate school scholarships and membership discounts.
What are the membership requirements?
Top 15% of
college/university juniors and seniors
meeting GPA requirements.
What are some of the service
activities performed by the UW-L Chapter?
The UW-L chapter of Golden Key does many service projects throughout the
year. The organization collects Pop Tops, Books for Africa, Neighbor
Day, Rotary Lights, Golden Key Literacy Project, and Adopt-a-Highway.
How do I become more invovled?
There are a couple of ways for members to become involved in the
organization. Members can come to the monthly meetings and hear speeches
on leadership or receive advise on how to apply for jobs. There is also
the option for members to sign up for volunteer opportunities. Lastly,
members can become officers and participate in weekly meetings and
organizing the UW-L chapter.
