Thursday, Nov. 6 General Member Meeting: 6:00pm, 257 Cartwright. The topic will be scholarships and as always refreshments will be provided.  Hope to see you there!
Nov. 30, Dec. 5, 6, 11, & 12 Rotary Lights: We will be counting the people coming through to see the lights. Come and see the awesome lights, get some delicious cookies and soup while you help out! Time openings are still available, see below for more details.
Wednesday, Dec. 3 Pop Tops Collection: 10am-2pm

Volunteers

We are currently looking to fill Rotary Lights time openings as follow:
      Friday, December 5th from 6:50-9 pm or from 8:50-10:30
      Saturday, December 6th from 6:50-9 pm or from 8:50-10:30
      Thursday, December 11th from 4:45-7 pm or 6:50-9 pm or from 8:50-10:30
      Friday, December 12th from 4:45-7 pm or 6:50-9 pm or from 8:50-10:30
**You can sign up for more than one day or time. Also friends are more than welcome to sign up as well. If you would like to sign up contact Lisa at jansen.lisa@students.uwlax.edu.

Operation River Watch and S.O.S. are both currently looking for/accepting volunteers. S.O.S. volunteers are needed 7 nights a week from 8:30pm-12:00am. Contact sos@uwlax.edu if you are interested in volunteering.

 

Membership Drive

Membership Drive for the Golden Key International Honour Society Qualified Sophomores (min 45 credits), Juniors, Seniors, & Graduate students (with over 9 credits) have been mailed invitations to join the Golden Key International Honour Society. Golden Key invites students in the top 15% of their class; this fall UWL is using a GPA of 3.65 for membership consideration. Golden Key students are active in community service and have a number of scholarship and leadership opportunities.

In addition to the distinctive academic recognition, students enjoy many benefits of membership. For example, exclusive discounts available through Geico, Princeton Review, and Hotels.com, to name a few, off-set the one-time membership fee of $70. Also, students have access to career information through Vault.com and employment opportunities with Golden Key’s corporate partners, including Boeing, Ford Motor Company, Teach For America, etc.
