Training
Federal Regulations require training and continuing education to
ensure that all scientists, research technicians, animal
technicians, and other personnel involved in animal care,
treatment, and use are qualified to perform their duties in the
care and use of research animals. Animal use protocols will
not be approved until training is complete.
IACUC Training for All Animal Users
This tutorial is mandatory for all
animal users including PI's, technicians and students. It
provides information regarding regulatory agencies, compliance,
animal use and responsibilities for on-going research at UW-L as
dictated by federal regulations.
Species Specific Training
These tutorials (as applicable) are mandatory training for all
investigators, technicians and students. They provide
information regarding husbandry, behavior, zoonosis, and varied
topics. Please review the tutorial instructions before
preceding to the training link.
