WiTAG Program

The WiSys Technology Advancement Grant (WiTAG) is a research grant program aimed at funding applied research with Intellectual Property (IP) potential at the UW System campuses. The program offers a funding for up to a three-year period. Funding available for any given project is dependent upon the project's scope. UW-Madison and UW-Milwaukee researchers are not eligible for WiTAG awards. Intellectual property created using WiTAG funding must be assigned to WiSys.

Deadlines:

Preproposal (required) - see preproposal information on the WiTAG site for details
- No specific deadlines currently exist
- email to Mindy Dawson (mdawson@wisys.org) per RFP request; copied to ORSP at grants@uwlax.edu

Interview (if requested) - WiSys may request an interview to clarify specific technology related questions. Please advise ORSP if an interview is requested.

Full proposal - by invitation only - based on preproposal
- UWS Grant Transmittal form required - allow time for routing
- UW-La Crosse deadline - 10 days prior to assigned deadline
- WiSys deadline - as assigned in proposal submission invitation
  - submit electronically per RFP request and email a copy to grants@uwlax.edu
  - or mail to address in RFP - must be received by due date - hard copy of final submitted version of the grant to 220 Morris
