The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs helps to support UW-L's three-fold mission of instruction, service, and research by assisting faculty and staff members to obtain funding for projects that enrich the campus community. The following services are offered:

  • Assistance with identifying potential funding sources
  • Support during all stages of the proposal preparation and budget development process
  • Editing of proposal drafts
  • Ensuring compliance with internal and external policies, including administrative oversight of the Institutional Review Board (IRB) for research involving human subjects
  • Review and approval of all grant and contract proposals
  • Helping to improve the grant seeking skills of the campus community through workshops and individual consultations
  • Promotion of research, scholarship, and creative activities by faculty, staff, and students
