Cardboard Village
Get excited! On April 29th (Friday), there will be an awesome event called Cardboard Village on Drake Field. The purpose of this event is to raise awareness of sub-standard housing through building houses out of cardboard and sleeping in them overnight. This event will include a live band, food, and games. More information to come as the date approaches.

Women’s Build
Kicking off during the week leading up to Mother’s Day, women of the Coulee Region will join with women around the world to help eliminate poverty by making a difference in building homes and communities. Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build program brings women from all walks of life together to learn construction skills and then use those skills to build simple, decent affordable houses.
The kickoff day is Mother’s Day. UW-L Habitat for Humanity will have a women’s team (sorry women’s only). Each team has to raise $1,000. This may sound like a lot, but we already have ten people interested and the more people that sign up, the less each person needs to raise!
