2nd annual "Runnin' Home for Habitat" needs teams for our
competition! Teams are about 8-10 members, and there will be a $15
sign up fee. There will be prizes for the winning team and tons of

- November 14th-- Deadline to sign up for kickball. We will have signups around campus, or you can email Heidi at peterson.heid@students.uwalx.edu once you've got a team! Remember to give your "Team Captain's" name and email address, as well as each of your team members'.

Volunteer opportunities
REMINDER:::: The Habitat ReStore downtown is constantly looking for volunteers like you! They are open Tuesday- Friday from 10a-6pm and Saturday 9-3pm. You're free to come once, or make it a weekly ritual. Have some fun, bring a friend!\
We will keep you updated about any build opportunities in the La Crosse area. We will have 2 next semester for sure in Winona, but we're anxiously awaiting builds in La Crosse!

- October 31st-- HALLOWEEN! For those of you who signed up for Trick or Treating (5-7pm), we will be meeting in front of the Rec (parking lot side) at 4:45pm. Please feel free to dress up! (appropriately, of course).

Never fear, we will have some more build opportunities creeping up on us, and I'll keep you all updated as to when the signups will be. We have met with Jason from the La Crosse chapter and he's going to help us get more build opportunities!

The ReStore will pair up new volunteers with mentors so that you won't feel lost or overwhelmed when you come in, and there's a bus stop very close by if you don't drive! PLUS-- Volunteers get a 20% discount card-- Need some furniture for your dorm or apartment? Sign up to volunteer and save yourself a few dollars!
And if that's not enough to convince you, your volunteer hours at the ReStore are tracked and you will be reimbursed money for those hours if you go on our spring break trip!
