University Honors Program Home
A 15-credit enrichment program for outstanding students. All 100- and 200-level UHP courses satisfy a General Education requirement. The UHP offers opportunities for advanced independent work as well, including a required 3-credit senior capstone (an individual research project that most students do with a professor in their major). Course size is limited to 15 students, creating a very different learning environment than most General Education courses are able to achieve and the opportunity to build relationships with faculty and colleagues. Course formats are typically discussion from reading and other active learning activities; lecturing is rare. For more information, see: http://www.uwlax.edu/records/UGCat/Courses/HON.htm
