Disability Benefits
If you participate in the Wisconsin Retirement System, disability benefits may be available if you become totally and permanently disabled and are unable to engage in any gainful employment. This program, when used in conjunction with Income Continuation insurance, can substantially replace the loss of income caused by a disability. This benefit is provided to all WRS participants who meet the creditable service requirements (if disability is work-related, there is no creditable service requirement).
