Job Duties
This position is
responsible for administration, management, and support of the UW-L Internet &
Intranet systems, Virtual Lab environment, and 3rd-Party Applications used
within the UW-L environment and externally hosted solutions. This position
reports to the Assistant Director of Network & Enterprise Services. The position
performs within the established goals and priorities that are consistent with
the Information Technology Services Department goals.
This position is responsible for Internet & Intranet administration, research and development, maintenance and support; virtual Lab Management, deployment and support; backup support for MS SQL server farm. This position will administer and support 3rd-party systems and applications such as ImageNow, Ad Astra, and other hosted solutions.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of Internet & Intranet systems such as SharePoint; VMWARE and application hosting practices; web-based applications including testing and problem solving related to desktop and browser level problems; web related server technologies including hardware and software and programming; database systems and supporting software, especially in the areas of complex software integration; ability in developing technical documentation and end user materials; designing and conducting technical training sessions; technical experience and software proficiencies: SharePoint, MS SQL 2012, and ORACLE DB; and excellent organization and problem-solving/troubleshooting skills as well as effective public speaking, presentation, and listening skills.

Appointment Information
This is a full time position (40 hrs/wk)
Pay will be based on the rules that apply to compensation upon transfer, reinstatement or voluntary demotion; beginning pay will not be less than the minimum ($22.026). Pay Schedule/Range is 07-03. A six month probationary period may be required.
