Ask Questions!

  • Some good questions to ask of your supervisor to prepare for your first day:

    • Date/time/place to report to work?

    • What are my work hours?

    • Should I bring my lunch the first day?  Is there a refrigerator to store my lunch?

    • What is the preferred attire in the department/unit?

    • What parking lot is closest to my work space?

    • Will I have a schedule for my first days? (remind them of the date and time of your benefits orientation)
