Refer to the University Code of Ethics found in the UW-L Employee Handbook-Section B. If you are still unsure about an ethics issue, talk to your immediate supervisor.

An ethics issue I am unsure about involves my supervisor. What should I do?

If this issue involves your supervisor and it is a personnel issue, please contact the UW-L HUB (Help|Understanding|Where to Begin) provided by the office of Affirmative Action, Campus Climate & Diversity, Human Resources, and Disability Resource Services.  If this issue involves your supervisor and does not seem to be a personnel issue, please contact the Office of Internal Audit.

I am unsure about an ethics issue and I am uncomfortable discussing it with my immediate supervisor. What should I do?

I am aware of unethical behavior or violations of laws or policies at the University. What should I do?

I have knowledge of fraud or of activities that may be considered fraudulent, improper, or irregular. What should I do?

I would like to discuss possible deficiencies in internal control with someone. Whom should I contact?

You can discuss this with the Office of Internal Audit. You can also discuss this with the University’s Interim Controller.

I would like information about the proper management of public records. Whom should I contact?

Someone from the media or the public has requested access to university records that I manage. What should I do?
