About Seating Chart

Use Seating Chart to view and track attendance and participation for your courses and group events using a drag and drop interface to assign seats to students.

Seating Chart integrates with Locations and Calendar enabling you to add seating charts to existing locations and scheduled events. The custom view filters allow instructors to analyze user progress and leave notes about students.

You can create events and seating charts at the org, course, section, and group level.

Access Seating Chart on tablet devices to manage your courses seating charts during class sessions or on the go.

Access Seating Chart

Do one of the following:

• Click Seating Chart on the navbar.
• Click View Seating Chart from the calendar Agenda view.
• Click the Manage Seating Chart icon in the calendar Create Event view for increased editing abilities.

View a seating chart

1. Access Seating Chart from your course.
2. Click the seating chart you want to view from the list on the Seating Chart page.
3. Click View Seating Chart.

Note  The last accessed seating chart is remembered and opens automatically the next time you access Seating Chart from your course. You can also scroll from within one seating chart through the list by clicking Previous Chart or Next Chart.
