D2L, or Desire2Learn, is an online course management system used by UW-La Crosse faculty and instructional staff to enhance face-to-face instruction or teach courses totally online. D2L allows “anytime, anywhere” access to course-related files, electronic dropboxes for assignments, online quizzes and tests, e-mail, and grades.
Note: Though most faculty use D2L for their courses, students should note that not all faculty utilize D2L. If they do not see one of their courses on their course list, they should contact the instructor to find out if the course will be activated in D2L.
If you have any further questions, concerns, or issues with D2L, please contact the Eagle Help Desk:

ePortfolios |
The ePortfolio component of D2L allows students and staff to create portfolio presentations. These presentations may be submitted to a D2L dropbox, shared with others on campus, or shared with potential employers. The ePortfolio is linked to each
student (you can add materials at any time outside of any
course). However, a course or
program could request that you
collect artifacts in your D2L
ePortfolio and create a presentation
that would be submitted to a dropbox
or shared. To learn more, click

Online Rooms |
If you are participating in an online or blended course, your instructor may use the Online Rooms tool.
