Course Management System: Desire2Learn (D2L)

  • D2L, or Desire2Learn, is an online course management system used by many UW-La Crosse faculty to enhance face-to-face instruction or teach courses totally online. D2L allows “anytime, anywhere” access to course-related files, electronic dropboxes for assignments, online quizzes and tests, e-mail, and grades.

  • The Eagle Help Desk at UW-L offers technology training opportunities for all faculty and staff.
  • If you cannot make one of the scheduled classes, please contact Jen Snook to arrange a convenient time to meet.
  • One-on-one and small group help is also available for those with questions about technology or for those needing assistance with a specific technology project.

Wireless Access

  • All buildings on our campus have wireless access for faculty and staff. Campus Map.
  • In order to connect to our wireless network you will need to follow the instructions for your Operating System located here.

ITS Classrooms & Labs

  • ITS Labs are available for students and have a general set of software installed on all computers.
  • ITS Classrooms provide technology for instructor use in many classrooms on campus.

  • EagleApps provides email, documents and calendar services to all students, faculty and staff on campus.

NetID

  • Your NetID Username will use an 8.4 configuration, which is the first 8 characters of your last name, a period, and then the first 4 characters of your first name.
  • Your NetID is used for many services on campus including ITS Classrooms & Labs computer login, campus wireless network and D2L.
