Antivirus Software
Course Management System: Desire2Learn (D2L)
- D2L, or Desire2Learn, is an online course management system used by many UW-La Crosse faculty to enhance face-to-face instruction or teach courses totally online. D2L allows “anytime, anywhere” access to course-related files, electronic dropboxes for assignments, online quizzes and tests, e-mail, and grades.

EagleApps
- EagleApps provides email, documents and calendar services to all students, faculty and staff on campus.

Exam Scoring
- Exam Scoring (Multiple-Choice Scantron Tests) is done by the Eagle Help Desk.
- Drop-off and pickup of exams is done at 103 Wing.
- If a student is picking up exams, they must bring their student ID and they must be documented in the student pickup authorization form, available from your department chairperson or academic department associate.
- Exam turn-around is one business day normally and one-half business day during finals.
- All exams must have a completed form and unblemished key when turned in.

Individual File Storage (U: Drive)
- Individual File Storage allows faculty and staff to have a place to store their university related files which will be accessible from any computer with an internet connection on or off campus
- Individual File Storage will allows for 15GB of file storage for each faculty and staff member
- Documents and other files created with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat or other applications can be saved here directly
- Using Web folders, Network Places or mapped drives this online file space can replace or complement existing methods of file storage. This storage space is also easily accessible as a folder on the desktop of all ITS lab and classroom computers

ITS Classrooms & Labs
- ITS Labs are available for students and have a general set of software installed on all computers.
- ITS Classrooms provide technology for instructor use in many classrooms on campus.

NetID
- Your NetID Username will use an 8.4 configuration, which is the first 8 characters of your last name, a period, and then the first 4 characters of your first name.
- Your NetID is used for many services on campus including ITS Classrooms & Labs computer login, campus wireless network and D2L.

- The Eagle Help Desk at UW-L offers technology training opportunities for all faculty and staff.

Wireless Access

- You can purchase software through WISC at a discounted price.
- WISC includes many popular software brands such as Adobe and Microsoft.
