Passport to Technology 6:
Technology Without Borders highlights a wide
range of ITS supported campus technologies
Academic Technology Services/ITS has been coordinating the Passport to Technology series of events for a number of years. After a hiatus during the last academic year, the event was brought back this semester with Passport to Technology 6: Technology Without Borders on March 23rd. Passport 6 began with a welcome by Chancellor Joe Gow and a keynote by Helen Chu, Director of Academic Technology at the University of Oregon, (photo right). Then a series of 20-minute sessions on topics including social media, iPad apps, Google Apps, D2L's ePortfolio, security, classroom technology, lecture capture in Centennial Hall, Bring Your Own Devices (BYOD) and much more were offered throughout the afternoon. The event concluded with a wrap-up by Mohamed Elhindi, UW-L's CIO, and a door prize drawing.
