Welcome to the Office of Information Security

The Office of Information Security was created in 2010 in response to the critical and complex nature of information security on the UW-La Crosse campus. The Office of Information Security reports directly to the Chief Information Officer.

The Office of Information Security works with  IT personnel, campus data custodians and end users to minimize security risks and put programs and policies in place to properly protect data. The Office of Information Security also responds to reported security incidents and provides software tools, training, support and best practices to help all computing environments on campus (i.e., departments, schools, business units, end user desktops) and their users stay secure.
