How do I change my password using Outlook Web Access?
Login to Outlook Web Access by entering the following URL in your
browser: https://uwlax.edu/exchange
.
The Outlook Web Access Email Log on page will appear.
- In the User Name text box type eagle\UWL Email Login ID.
- In the Password box type in your current email password.
- As a security precaution do NOT check the box next to Save this password…
- Select the Options Icon from the side bar of the Outlook Web Access Window.
- Click Change Password.
- Enter the domain: eagle.
- Enter your Login ID.
- Enter your current password once, then enter your new password twice to confirm that it was entered correctly.
- Click OK.
- Click on the close button in the dialog box that says "Password successfully changed".
- Close the Options dialog box.
How much space do I have on the Exchange Email Server?
All students are given 20MB of space, a warning message is generated at 10MB indicating that your mailbox is over its size limit and warnings continue until you reach 20MB limit. At 20MB you will not longer be able to send or receive email.
I just received an email from the System Administrator with the subject "Your mailbox is over its size limit." What do I do?
You will need to remove items from your account to clear up more space.
Delete old email messages from your account.
Empty Deleted Items folder by selecting the Trash Icon on the Outlook
Web Access toolbar. A message will appear asking if you are sure you
want to permanently delete all items, click OK.
Save attachments to a directory on your local computer, your "U-drive"
online file storage (coming soon), or other removable media (disk, ZIP
drive, CD-RW).
How can I make sure someone else cannot access my Exchange account through Outlook Web Access after I have used a lab computer?
You must exit the browser program after using Outlook Web Access and log off the computer to ensure that no one else can access your account.
How do I use Spell Check in Outlook Web Access?
Spell check is now available in Outlook Web Access. To use it, simply click the button that has a check mark and says "abc". This will start spell check on your email.
