Norton Anti-Virus Installation

Beginning January 1, 2002, the UWL campus entered into a license agreement for Norton Anti-Virus Software. Under the agreement the following machines are eligible for a copy of the software:

  • All University owned Windows desktop PCs
  • All University owned Windows NT, 2000 or Novell Servers
  • All FULL-TIME students may have one copy for their home machine
  • Faculty and staff may have a copy for their home machine on a 1 to 1 basis. (If the faculty or staff members has 2 university machines at their office, they may install up to 2 copies at home.)

Important Facts:

  • Installation must be done from Internet Explorer (IE)
  • If you wish a CD copy, they are available at the ITS Support Center ($3 (plus tax) to cover the cost of media and production)
