About the Department of Modern Languages at UW-L
Faculty and Learning Resource Center
- Most instructors in the Department of Modern Languages have the
Ph.D. degree in the language they teach. Each faculty member has
traveled, studied and lived in the country of the language taught.
Our instructors work diligently to make students feel welcome. We
pride ourselves on excellence in teaching!
- The offices, classrooms and the Language Resource Center of the department are located in Graff Main Hall. The Language Resource Center was last updated in 2002 and is equipped for listening, viewing and recording. News broadcasts are available from around the world from the SCOLA network. These news programs and other Spanish and French programs are also broadcast on a campus cable channel. Additionally, the Language Resource Center features 16 Windows multi-media computers with microphone headsets.
