President

The President must be a Spanish major. He or she shall be responsible for directing chapter meetings, organizing chapter events, conducting the induction ceremonies, delegating responsibilities to other officers or Society members, creating chair positions, maintaining the standards of the Society, collecting dues and maintaining financial records, and performing all duties as delegated by the Faculty Adviser.

Vice-President

The Vice-President must be a Spanish major. He or she shall be responsible for assisting the President with meetings, chapter events, induction ceremonies, fulfilling the duties of the President in the event of the President’s absence, as well as performing all duties as delegated by the Faculty Adviser and chapter President. In the event that the President steps down, the Vice-President shall assume the role of the President. A new Vice-President will then be appointed to finish the rest of the current term by the chapter officers and Faculty Adviser.

Public Relations Officer

The Public Relations Officer must be a Spanish major or minor. His or her duties shall encompass assisting the President and Vice-President with meetings, chapter events, induction ceremonies, member communications, chapter records, campus relations, allocation of funds under the supervision of the President and Faculty Adviser, as well as performing all duties as delegated by the Faculty Adviser and chapter President. The PR Officer will not automatically assume the duties of the President or Vice-President. If the current PR Officer is eligible for a vacated position, he or she may be considered, but will not automatically be appointed.
