
The Archaeology Center and Laboratories (1940, remodeled in 1999) contains:
the laboratories for the Archaeological Studies Major;
the research and office space for the staff of the Mississippi Valley Archaeology Center;
educational displays for the public and students which show artifacts from and describe the cultures of the region from the last 10,000 years as well as showing how UW-L archaeologists go about conducting their research; and
all of the artifacts that have been excavated by UW-L and MVAC archaeologists.
