My Advice to a New Math 175 Student:
This is my second time taking Math 175 and my second time enrolled
in the class I made significant changes that have greatly improved my
performance on quizes and tests. Keeping up with assignments, even
though it is very time consuming, will keep you much more aware of
whats
going on in class and will make it much easier to participate. I
realized that you should never be afraid to ask a question, because the
chances are is that someone else had the same exact question. Also,
take advantage of the fact that there is a math tutor room and other
math 175 students, because part of the best way of learning is working
with others. Another point is that, UWL has professors who will use up
all of their office time and extra time of theirs to help a student, so
don't think that you can't go to them. Lastly I found that when trying
to study for all the material on a test, write down an one piece a
paper
all topics and formulas discussed and make sure you understand the
basis
of each one, then work through problems. The most important thing that
I have found is not to think that Math 175 is too hard, because it is
capable.

Anna, Marketing Major
