My Advice to a New Math 175 Student:

My advice for new students would be to foremost know algebra and to become very proficient at it. Every problem that we have done has some algebra in it, and this is where many mistakes are made. Another thing to do is to keep up with the assignments. Its tough to catch up if you get behind, and the more problems you do the better you get at doing the problems. I think the biggest thing is to show up to all the classes and pay attention. If you miss a day, you usually miss something important and its tougher to learn by yourself. Also, its good to ask other people who are in the class for help on calculus. Sincerely,

Nathaniel, Environmental Biology Major
