Biography
Community health education major, Brian Vanderheyden, will be completing research with Keely Rees in the health education department. His research will focus on comparing the health of LGBT students at UW-L to LGBT students at Western Technical College as well as the campus’s climate at each institution. After graduating in May 2011, Brian plans to pursue a master’s degree in student affairs at an out-of-state university, while also serving in a residence life position. Brian is the biggest Green Bay Packer fan at UW-L, having grown up just blocks from the Packer Stadium! He also enjoys weight lifting, recreational sports, and trying out new vegetarian recipes. Brian keeps busy as a resident assistant in White Hall and a fitness cycling instructor at the recreation center on-campus.
