Antoiwana Williams, Director
On behalf of the Office of Multicultural Student Services (OMSS) and the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse (UW-L), it is a pleasure to welcome all enrolled students and those interested in attending UW-L.
The primary mission of the Office of Multicultural Services is to improve the retention and graduation of underrepresented students by promoting their academic and personal growth. The office provides supplementary services in the areas of academic pre-advising, subject tutoring, leadership development, the sponsorship of cultural events, and pre-college programs. Through these services and programs, students develop academic discipline and other important qualities that will enhance their development at UW-La Crosse.
OMSS serves African American, American Indian, Hispanic/Latino(a), Asian American (with emphasis on Southeast Asian), and bi-racial student organizations or multi-ethnic descent UW-L students. OMSS supports collaborative efforts that promote human understanding, shared values, and respect for individual differences and similarities.
Please take a moment to stop by our Multicultural Center in 1112 Centennial Hall. In the Center you can spend some time visiting with friends, studying, or looking through our many multicultural resources. Also, make sure to visit with our staff in Room 1101 Centennial Hall. We take pride in what we do at UW-La Crosse. We accept the challenge to make a difference and trust you will too!
Antoiwana Williams, Director Multicultural Student Services and Center.
