Environment: global issues/regional applications was funded by a grant from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse. The purpose of the grant and of this site is to encourage cross-disciplinary awareness of environmental issues.

The contents of the site were written primarily by students enrolled in ENV 496 at the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse. Each topic is intended to be a learning object for students in ENV 201, a course open to students of all majors.

The grant was written by Carol D. Miller, Ph. D. Sociology, Steven V. Simpson, Ph. D. Recreation Management, and Stefan Smith, MLIS, MS, Outreach Librarian. Carol Miller and Steven Simpson wrote the Biodiversity learning object and teach sections of the ENV courses. Web design and management was done by Stefan Smith.
