Welcome to Psychology
We hope the tutorials on the following
pages will help you understand the requirements for the major. If you are
a student entering UW-L Fall 2005 or later, we have new entrance
requirements. To officially become a Psychology major, you must:
- Earn at least a grade of "C" in psychology 100 (introduction to
Psychology) and
- Earn at least a grade of "C" in Math 145 (Statistics)
However, all students wishing to declare
the major, regardless of whether you have met these requirements, should:
- Complete the Psychology Tutorials
- Meet with Dr. Emily Johnson, the Psychology Advising Coordinator,
and
- Complete the change of major form and turn it into the College of
Liberal Studies Office in Morris Hall.
Students who have not yet completed
these requirements will be listed as "Pre-Psychology" majors. It is
important that you complete the steps for declaring the major so that you
will be assigned a Psychology Advisor who can help guide you toward
academic success.
