Although we recommend beginning your research with library resources, Google Scholar is an easily accessible gateway to scholarly research articles, many of which Murphy Library licenses for use by the UW-L community. To that end, we are now making our library holdings available to Google Scholar.
For on-campus users, effective immediately, Google Scholar results will now include links to either full text resources (via Find It!) or links to Find It! Services. The Find It! Services Menu will provide a quick way to submit interlibrary loan requests for items to which we do not have access, and quick access to an email help form.
Following are examples of results from Google Scholar:
For users off-campus, please edit your Google Scholar preferences to link to our holdings:
Users need to select the "Settings" link to the upper right of the search button, then type in University of Wisconsin. From the resulting list of libraries, choose "Library Links" and select "University of Wisconsin-La Crosse - Full text available." If Open WorldCat is checked, please uncheck it.
For even greater integration between web resources and Murphy Library resources, please download our library toolbar.
