Map Library

description: over 40,000 topographic
maps, including UW-L’s Federal
Depository Library Program map
collection. Also, an extensive
collection of wall maps, a wide variety
of atlases, weather maps, soil and
vegetation maps, and economic maps of
the regional area and the world.
Database of holdings is kept on a
non-networked PC within the Map Library.
Starting 2004, new depository maps
received are listed in the Murphy
Library catalog. Materials do circulate.
Center for Death Education and Bioethics

The CDEB has a large collection of
academic journals, books, articles,
and other materials concerned with
death, dying, bereavement, terminal
illness, hospice care, etc… in
contemporary society. Users are
encouraged to come in and use the
center's resources for academic
projects or to satisfy personal
interests. CDEB sponsors Illness,
Crisis, and Loss, a quarterly peer
reviewed journal published by Sage
Periodicals. CDEB also makes
available, at cost, brochures on
grief and loss.
